Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, 91

Anna Marie Verdesco, 91, of Nutley passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 surrounded by her cherished family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home, 540 Franklin Ave, Nutley on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. The The funeral will be conducted on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 8:45a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 120 Prospect St, Nutley. The Entombment will be at Glendale Chapel Mausoleum, Bloomfield.

Anna Marie was born in Newark, and has resided in Nutley for the past fifty six years. She was employed as a clothing designer for the Burben Fashion company, Newark before retiring. Anna Marie was a Eucharistic Minister and also led the congregation in the Rosary for the Saturday evening mass for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Nutley for past thirty years; she was also a proud member of the Nutley Senior Citizens Friday Club. Anna Marie was devoted to her loving family and one of her favorite pastimes was dancing which she deeply enjoyed.

Anna Marie is survived by her beloved husband Corrado who adored her for the sixty seven years they were married; her loving children who cherished her Lisa Gagliano and her husband Gene, Bernard Verdesco and his wife Alona, and Annette Verdesco-Cafiero and her husband Stephen; and her precious grandchildren Melanie Armelino and her husband Michael, Arielle Skoryk and her husband Serge, Coriann Cafiero and her boyfriend Anthony Barritta, and Karina Vahitova and also her loving dog Ali who brought her such joy and comfort.

Anna is predeceased by her dear brother and three sisters.

Anna Marie will be so deeply missed by her loving family who cherished her and also by the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church community who were like a second family to her. May God bless her and hold her in the palm of his hand.
