Beloved Mother and Grandmother, 84

Mrs. Anna M. (nee Vega Torres) Maldonado, 84, of Barnegat, NJ, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  There will be a funeral service celebrated at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, June 29 at 11:15 a.m.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to time of service.  The interment will be at Arlington Cemetery, 748 Schuyler Ave, Kearny.

Anna was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico, and emigrated to Newark, NJ at 18 years old. She lived in Belleville for seven years, then moved to Barnegat in 2021.  She was employed by Elrob Manufacturing in Cedar Grove for many years before retiring 30 years ago.  Anna was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was a devout member of Fountain of Life / Fuente de vida Church in Newark.  Her greatest enjoyment was caring for and spending time with her family. She also loved worshipping the Lord and witnessing the word of God.

She is survived by her loving children, Felix Bernard, Anna Serpa and her husband Danny, and Marylou Maldonado; her 12 precious grandchildren and her 8 cherished great-grandchildren.

Anna is predeceased by her beloved husband Juan Maldonado (2012), her parents Carmen and Aurelio (nee Vega) Torres, and her dearest son Hector Bernard (1998).
