Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, 74

Angela (nee Gangi) Baio, 74, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley on Tuesday, August 25 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 63 Franklin St., Belleville on Wednesday, August 26 at 11:30 a.m. The interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Bloomfield.

Angela was born in Glen Ridge and was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield. In retirement she continued to make an impact on children’s lives by serving as a lunch aide at the Demerest School in Bloomfield.

Angela is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years Giuseppe Baio; her loving children Roseann Russomanno and her husband Charles, Nadia Domenick and son-in-law Glenn, Laura Benkert and her Husband Daniel and Frank Baio; her caring brothers and sisters Cecelia Polizzi, Salvatore Gangi, Grace Ann Vetere and Stephen Gangi; also her cherished grandchildren Lorenzo and his fiancee Gabriella, Alexandria, Mikaela, Aidan, Dagen, Alexander, Mia and Ava Neve; her dear sister-in-laws Antoinette Gangi, Arlene Laconte, Rosa Biondo and Wilhelmina Gangi, Lynette Gangi, her brother-in-law Joseph Vetere. She is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; her lifelong friend Millie and her husband Allan and her other very close dear friends.

Angela is predeceased by her brother Thomas Gangi, her brother-in-laws Girolamo Biondo and Frank Polizzi.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
