Beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather, 73
Mr. Andrew Depczek, 73, of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Tuesday, May 2 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, May 3 at 9:15 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 10:30 a.m. The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington with military honors.
Andrew was born in Newark, NJ and was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield. He was an Inspector for the Kearny Fire Department. Previously he was the former Deputy Chief of the Belleville Fire Department. Andrew also volunteered on the Bloomfield Emergency & Rescue Squad for many years. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Kathy (nee Cucuzza) Depczek; his devoted children Andrew Depczek, Christopher Depczek and Anissa Depczek and her finance` Laila; his loving siblings Carol Mahler, Judy Juliano, Julie Carabello and her husband Rocco, and Stanley Depczek and his wife Nancy; his cherished grandchildren Victoria, Skyler and Matteo Depczek. He is also survived by his loving extended family.
Andrew is predeceased by his parents Andro and Julia (nee Cocozza) Depczek. He is now also reunited with his best friend - his dog Toby.
