Beloved Father, Son and Brother, 60

Mr. Alexandru Stefan, 60, of Nutley, NJ, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Morristown Medical Center. There will be a memorial service celebrated at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Saturday, January 9,   at 1:00 p.m., Reverend Jill Fenske officiating.  Visitation will follow until 3:00 p.m.  

Mr. Stefan was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania on January 1, 1961 and emigrated to the United States, with his family, and established residence in Nutley in 2002.  He was the Founder , Co-Owner and Professor of the Manhattan Studies Institute, New York City.  His professional career also included Professor at the Military Technical Academy, Brasov, Romania; Professor/Education projects at Bloomfield College, Bloomfield, NJ; Dean and Professor at the Manhattan Institute of Management, New York City, NY; and the President and Academic Director of American European Education, Brasov, Romania.  He was also a member of the Rotary Club, Brasov, Romania, and the Rotary Club, Nutley, NJ.

Mr. Stefan earned the following degrees – Master of Science in Electronics Engineering from the Military Technical Academy, Bucharest in 1985; Master of Science in Telecommunication and Information Management from New York University in 2009; and an MBA in Innovation and Technology Management from New York University in 2011. 

He is survived by his loving former spouse Giovana Veronica Stefan and sons Bogdan Stefan and his wife Rashida Kimberly Stefan, and Tudor Stefan and his wife Alexandra Nicole Patrizio; his loving life partner Maria Elena Botei and their son Alexander Stefan; his beloved mother Alexandrina (nee Barbat) Stefan; and his dear sister Corina Eugenia Stefan and her husband Calin Crisan and their son Felix Crisan.

He is predeceased by his father Alexandru Stefan (1979).

Alex, we all love you and cherish your life and legacy.  You will be dearly missed.
