Beloved Father, Brother, Grandfather and Friend, 74
Mr. Alan G. DeFabbio, 74, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Monday, April 10 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service celebrated at Grace Episcopal Church, 200 Highfield Lane, Nutley on Tuesday April 11 at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will be at Glendale Chapel Mausoleum, 28 Hoover Ave, Bloomfield.
Alan was born in Newark, NJ and was a lifelong resident of Nutley. He was employed by Luxottica, NYC for over 30 years as a salesman. Alan was a longtime member of the Nutley Chapter of Unico, and a member and past-president of the Nutley Third-Half Club. He loved his town of Nutley and was a true community leader. Everyone knew Alan. His greatest joy was spending time with his beautiful family.
He is survived by his beloved children Gina DeFabbio, Michele Saltzman and her husband David, and Alan DeFabbio and his wife Danielle; his cherished grandchildren Gracie and Ruby Saltzman and Thea, Mateo and Dominic DeFabbio; his dear siblings Donna J. DeFabbio and Dennis M. DeFabbio and his wife Geralyn; his loving companion of 26 years Elaine Nardone and her children Nicole, Krystal and Kevin, and her grandchildren Juliana, Callie and Jax; and also his former wife Linda DeFabbio.
Alan is predeceased by his parents Alfonso and Antoinette (nee LaMedica) DeFabbio.
