Beloved Step-Mother, Sister, Aunt, Step-Grandmother and

Step-Great-Grandmother, 83

Mrs. Agata (nee Scudieri) DiPietro, 83 of Belleville, NJ, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Peter’s Church, 155 William Street, Belleville on Friday, October 20 at 11:00 a.m.  The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.

Agata was born in Sulmona, Italy and emigrated to Hoboken as a teenager before moving to North Bergen and then to Belleville where she resided for many years.  She was a Kitchen Aide Worker in the Belleville Middle School before retiring in 2005.  Previously, she was employed as a Sewing Machine Operator for Chester LoPresti Coat Factory in Hoboken for 35 years.   

She is survived by her step-daughter Diane Frazee; her siblings Carmen Scudieri, Gino Scudieri and Giovanna Curcio; her three step-grandchildren and her step-great-grandson.  She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Agata is predeceased by her husband John DiPietro (1996), her brothers Gitano Scudieri and Mario Scudieri, her sisters Lina Mennella, Filomena Mennella, and Teresa Pietanza.
