 Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother, 77

Mrs. Victoria M. (nee Takazauckas) Rooney, 77, of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, January 17 at 8:45 a.m.  There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield at 10:00 a.m. The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.   Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 16 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  For directions or to send online condolences, please visit our website at www.biondifuneralhome.com.

Mrs. Rooney was born in New York City and resided in Bloomfield for the past 53 years.  She was a Financial Manager for the Borgus, Hanlon, Henry & Garcia, Inc.   Kearny for 20 years before retiring.  Mrs. Rooney was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield for 53 years.  She was involved in the Christian Family Involvement (CFM) and Pre Cana  Programs at St. Thomas.  She was also involved in the Catholic Charities Infant Home Care Program.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years Thomas Rooney; her devoted children Victoria A. Rhein and her fiancée Robert Hansen, Kevin Rooney and his wife Joanna, Sharon Magrini and her husband Eugene, Michael Rooney and his wife Stacey, and Meagan Rooney; and also her cherished grandchildren Michael, Zachary and Brianna Rhein, Tyler, Colton, and Alexandra Rooney, Brittany McCabe and her husband Richard, and Christina and Kayla Magrini.

Mrs. Rooney is predeceased by her parents Alexander and Marie (nee Curcio) Takazauckas, her grandson Joseph John Rhein and her brother Albert Takazautckas.
