Beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, 95
Mr. Thomas Arcidiacona, Sr., 95, of West Milford, NJ, formerly of Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Saturday, August 25 at 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. There will be a graveside service celebrated at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Avenue, Bloomfield at 12:00 p.m. with military honors.
Mr. Arcidiacona was born in Newark and resided in Belleville for many years before moving to West Milford three years ago. He was a maintenance worker for Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge for 25 years before retiring in 1994. Mr. Arcidiacona honorably served as a U.S. Navy Sea Bee during World War II. He served in the American Theater, the Asiatic Pacific Theater and participated in the Philippine Liberation. Mr. Arcidiacona was also a member of the 127th U.S. Navy Sea Bee Big Band Orchestra.
He is survived by his children Roseann DeBois and her husband Blair, and Frank Arcidiacona and his wife Sadie; his cherished grandchildren Jason Kokosinski and his wife Dasha, and Blair DeBois; and also his precious great-grandchildren Nicholas, Aleksei and Benjamin.
Mr. Arcidiacona is predeceased by his wife Mary Rose (nee Mineo) Arcidiacona, his son Thomas Arcidiacona, Jr., his brother Dominick Arcidiacona and his sister Frances Tell.
