Raymond P. Bresko
Beloved Father, Grandfather and Uncle, 83
Mr. Raymond P. Bresko, 83, of Woodland Park, NJ, formerly of Nutley, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Paterson. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Monday, November 19 at 8:45 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Nutley at 10:00 a.m.. The interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 18 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Mr. Bresko was born in Baltimore, MD and resided in Nutley for over 50 years before moving to Woodland Park in 2007. He was an Administrative Aide for the North Jersey District Water Supply Commission, Wanaque for 28 years before retiring in 2010. Mr. Bresko was a former Captain of the Nutley Auxiliary Police for 28 years. He was the past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #2346, Nutley, and former District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Bresko was a former Democratic District Leader and a former Democratic County Committee Member. He was also head usher at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Nutley. Mr. Bresko served his country honorably as a sergeant in the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his beloved children Debora Lavecchia, Susan Bresko, Christina Colaneri, and Paul Bresko and his wife Margie; his cherished grandchildren Nicole and Dominick; and also his many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Bresko is predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Kuruc) Bresko (July 21, 2018), and his son-in-law Dominic Colaneri.
