Beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Uncle, 58
Mr. Patrick R. Montella, 58, of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Wednesday, January 23 at 9:30 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church, Newark at 10:45 a.m. The cremation will be held privately. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 22 from 4:00 –8:00 p.m.
Mr. Montella was born in Newark and resided in Bloomfield for the past 18 years. He was a Newark Police Officer for 29 years and retired as a Lieutenant in 2011. Mr. Montella was a member of the Superior Officer's Association. He will always be remembered as being well-respected by his fellow officers.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years Corinne (nee O’Connor) Montella; his devoted daughter Casey O’Keefe; his loving brother John Montella, and his loving sister Renee Califano and her husband Dr. Anthony Califano; and also his loving nieces and nephew Danielle, Annette and Armando.
