Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, 88
Mr. Michael A. Robertello, 88, of West Caldwell, NJ, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Sunday, March 31 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted on Monday, April 1 at 8:45 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will be at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington with military honors.
Mr. Robertello was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Bloomfield before moving to West Caldwell five years ago. He was a bus driver for DeCamp Bus Lines, Montclair for over 40 years before retiring. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In April, 1955, Michael married the love of his life Marie. Affectionately, he called her his “Rere”. He loved and enjoyed being a grandfather to his twelve grandchildren. Michael enjoyed making people laugh. He could find his audience anywhere, and was the life of the party. He was known for his “Mrs. Doubtfire” impersonations. He was a wonderful man who will be sorely missed by everyone.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Marie (nee DiNola) Robertello; his devoted children Dr. Michael Robertello and his wife Ann, Joan Binkiewicz, Cathy Maddaloni and her husband Joseph, and Michelle Laratta and her husband Daniel; and also his cherished grandchildren Jessica, Katelyn, Anthony, Daniel, Michael, Jr., Mark, Laura, Christopher, Matthew, Andrew and Dana.
Mr. Robertello is predeceased by his beloved grandson Joseph Michael.
