Beloved Sister-in-law and Aunt
Emma Vitiello, 94, of Clinton, NJ, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at her home. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Monday, April 23 at 9:30 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church, Newark at 10:45a.m. The interment will be at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 22 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Emma was born in Newark and resided in Clifton and Bloomfield before moving to Clinton 13 years ago. She was an executive secretary for Hoffman LaRoche, Nutley for many years before retiring. After retirement she worked as a volunteer first grade teacher at St. Lucy’s School, Newark. She was also a volunteer worker in St. Lucy’s Gift Shop. Emma was lovingly cared for by her caregiver for many years.
She is survived by her beloved sister-in-law Louise Vitiello and her many loving nieces and nephews.
Emma is predeceased by her siblings Gerald, Caesar and Philip Vitiello, Irma Crisci, Minnie Iannarone, Eleanor Sacco and Alba Bowers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Lucy’s Building Restoration Fund, 118 – 7th Avenue, Newark, NJ 07104.
