Beloved Father and Brother, 70

Dr. James Quinn, 70, of Cedar Grove, NJ, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his home after a long illness.  The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, August 29 at 8:15 a.m.  There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 9:30 a.m.  The interment will be at Restland Cemetery, East Hanover.   Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 28 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.   

Dr. Quinn was born in New York City and resided in Cedar Grove, NJ for many years.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Hofstra University and graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, NY (1974).  He then completed his internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital, NY (1975), his residency at Nassau Hospital, NY (1978) and his Cardiac Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, (1980).  He served as a Cardiologist at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, later operating his own private practice.  Dr. Quinn was known as an empathetic, caring physician who loved seeing smiles on his patient’s faces.  He also volunteered raising dogs for the Seeing Eye.

He is survived by his beloved children Antonio Quinn and Francesca Quinn; and his loving sister Jeanne Quinn Bunn and her husband, Edward; and also many caring friends and colleagues.
