Dean Angelo Caracciola, 16, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, August 15 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted on Friday, August 16 at 9:15 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 10:30 a.m. The interment will be at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Dean was born in Livingston, NJ and was a lifelong, fourth generation resident of Nutley. He was a Junior at Horizon High School, Livingston. Dean was an avid Yankee and Giant Fan and enjoyed playing Guitar Hero. He particularly had a keen ear and love for music. He most looked forward to, and immensely enjoyed, his father playing the acoustic guitar for him. He enjoyed Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, Deal or No Deal and spending time with family which meant most to him. Dean was always an upbeat and happy boy with a contagious smile. To know Dean was to love Dean.
He is survived by his beloved parents Fred and Gabrielle (nee Ambrosino) Caracciola; his devoted brother Victor Caracciola; his loving maternal grandmother Patricia Lombardi, and loving paternal grandfather Fiorvanti Caracciola; and his cherished nephew Lorenzo Caracciola. He is also survived by his 11 loving aunts, 10 loving uncles, and 26 loving cousins.
Dean is predeceased by his maternal grandfather Alfonse Lombardi, and his paternal grandmother Barbara Sicoli.
A special “Thank You” to Uncle Joey, aka “ING”. Not only a phenomenal caregiver for 13 years but Dean’s Best Friend!!!
