Beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather, 84

Mr. Clark D. Sorensen, 84, of Waretown, NJ, formerly of Nutley, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.   

Clark earned an Accounting Degree from Upsala College, East Orange.  He was an accountant for 55 years.  Clark began his career with the Standard Oil Company of NJ where he met his wife Judy at a Comptroller’s Dept. Christmas party.  Along with his wife Judy, he started his own accounting firm in 1975, Clark D. Sorensen, Certified Public Accountant, Nutley before retiring four years ago.  Clark volunteered his time with many organizations in Nutley, a community which he loved and resided in for all of his life before moving to Waretown 13 years ago  especially his 2nd family, the Nutley Rotary where he served as Past President and was a Paul Harris Fellow.  Clark was an avid Giants fan.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Judy (nee Horn) Sorensen; his devoted children Erik Sorensen and his wife Adrienne, Jill Sorensen, and Kurt Sorensen and his wife Erin Isaacs; his loving siblings Peter Sorensen and his wife Pat, and Linda Long and her husband George; and also his cherished grandchildren Alex, Alice, Dane, Ella, Luca, Lars and Coraline.

Clark is predeceased by his sister Wendy Sorensen.

A celebration of Clark’s life will be held at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Saturday, October 26 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
