Beloved Mother, Sister and Grandmother, 81

Mrs. Celeste (nee Gionta) DeCotiis, 81, of Nutley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.  The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Tuesday, November 28 at 8:45 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield at 10:00 a.m.  The entombment will be at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.  

Mrs. DeCotiis was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Nutley for 35 years.  She was a loving homemaker to her family.  Mrs. DeCotiis was a volunteer at St. Thomas the Apostle School, Bloomfield.

She is survived by her beloved children Patrick DeCotiis and his wife Mary Ellen, Daniel DeCotiis and his wife Lisa, Vicki Hussey and her husband Kevin, and Laura DeCotiis and her husband Marc Heflich; her loving sister Louise Horowitz and her loving brother- in law Paul DeCotiis, step-sister Vicki Tyers; and step-brother Craig Zwillinger, her cherished grandchildren Jennifer, William, Austin, Jeremy, Lauren, and Kyle.  She is also survived by her loving goddaughter Jeannine Vena, and her many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. DeCotiis is predeceased by her husband Daniel C. DeCotiis, Esq., and her brother Joseph Gionta.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Thomas the Apostle School, 50 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
