Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle, 82

Mr. Bartolomeo Napodano, 82, of Wayne, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at home with his family. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Saturday, June 16 at 8:30 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Ave, Nutley at 9:30 a.m. The entombment will be at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visitation will be on Friday, June 15 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Napodano was born July 3, 1935 in Corbara, Salerno Italy to Luigi and Maria (nee Giordano) Napodano. He emigrated to Newark, NJ in 1966. On July 6, 1968 he married Luisa (nee Vitolo) Napodano in Nocera Superiore, Italy. Mr. Napodano was employed for most of his career at Port Newark, initially for Fiat, then Toyota as a quality control inspector for many years before retiring in 1995. He spent his days at the family restaurant, Giorgio’s on Mt. Prospect Avenue, Newark until 1999. He then enjoyed being active and loved spending time relaxing with his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Luisa; his sisters Lucia and Maria of Italy; his devoted daughter, Josette Spaulding and her husband Adam; his cherished grandchildren, Devon and Ava; his dear cousins Anthony and Marlene Giordano and also his loving nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his sons, James (2013) and Louis Napodano (2017); his parents, Luigi and Maria; his brothers, Aniello and Antonio Napodano and his sisters Teresa, Rosa, Pina.
