Katherine was proud to be born and raised in Jersey City, N.J., resided in Belleville. N.J. for many years where the door was always open to family, friends, and her kids’ friends who all have great memories of hanging out in the sun parlor. She moved to Nutley 20 years ago with her beloved late husband John Pucciarello where they owned and managed Cut-Ups Hair Salon together until John’s passing. Katherine went on to be the sole proprietor and heart and soul of the salon. She made her clients beautiful and made them feel like family. She was a best friend and “mom” to all her employees.
Katherine is survived by her devoted children; her “sun” Anthony Pucciarello, her daughter Nicole Rizzi and husband Lorenzo, and her very reason for living....her grandchildren Anthony, Jonathan, Jake, and Dean. Her grandchildren were part of her every day and kept her busy at soccer games, traditional family dinners, and time together filled with continuous hugs and kisses. Katherine enjoyed her martini with her sister-in-law Irene Pucciarello every Friday night. On Sundays, she enjoyed her crossword puzzles and loved spending time with family over traditional late afternoon “macaroni dinner” and cold-cut sandwiches throughout the day of course.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband John Pucciarello (2009); her parents Dominick and Grace (neeCoppola) Raimondi; her sisters Rita Smith and Joan Hall.
Katherine said what she thought and everyone loved her for it. She will be missed by all for she was fun loving and brought happiness to everyone who knew her, and she touched everyone’s heart.
