Jimmy was born in New York City on the 4th of January, 1952 to Santos Carde and Felicita Perez Garcia. He was raised in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Belleville and Nutley before moving to Magnolia, DE five years ago.
From a young age, Jimmy became an entrepreneur, selling whatever he could find on the streets of New York to help his mother earn money. As a man, Jimmy owned several businesses including two pizzerias and cleaning companies, achieving great success with only a 6th grade education. His gift for business and hard work was only surpassed by his love for his family and above all, his faith in God. Jimmy was a musician, a worship warrior and a fierce man of God, sharing his love of Jesus with anyone who would listen. After 72 years on this earth, surviving cancer and terminal illness for 35 years, God called him home.
He is survived by beloved children Christina Corde and her husband Ralph Velez, and Rachel Carde and her husband Sammy Astorga; his cherished grandchildren Immanuel Bezares, Destiny Astorga, Alicia Astorga, Xavier Velez and Ariana Astorga; his loving siblings Alex Carde and his twin brother Charles Carde, Santra Gonzalez, Elias Orengo; and also his loving companion Debbie McKenna.
Jimmy is predeceased by his wife Pamela (nee Valeo) Carde (2000).
